Privacy Policy
Blur Stuff is built to help you anonymize sensitive information while keeping your data handling simple and minimal.
Last updated: August 13, 2026
1. What Blur Stuff Does
Blur Stuff helps you anonymize sensitive information in images, videos, and documents. It can detect things such as faces, license plates, text, and personal information, and apply the anonymization options you choose.
2. Your Files
When you select a file, it is temporarily kept in your browser so you can move through the upload, detection, and anonymization process.
When processing is required, your file is sent to the Blur Stuff API. The API processes the file and returns the result to your browser.
Blur Stuff is designed to process files rather than build a permanent collection of your uploaded media.
3. What We Collect
Blur Stuff does not currently require an account, so you do not need to provide information such as your name, email address, or password to use the main anonymization features.
Your uploaded files and the information detected within them are used to provide the anonymization service you requested.
We do not intentionally use your files to create user profiles, sell personal information, or serve targeted advertising.
4. Local Browser Storage
Your browser may temporarily store your original file, detection results, and anonymized file while you use Blur Stuff.
This storage is used only to keep your current workflow working between the different steps of the application. You can remove it through your browser's site data or storage settings.
5. Tracking and Third Parties
Blur Stuff does not currently use advertising trackers or sell your information to third parties.
The application uses software libraries to perform tasks such as image processing, computer vision, OCR, video processing, and document processing.
6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect files while they are being processed. However, no online service can guarantee complete security.
For your own protection, only upload files that you are authorized to process.
7. Changes to This Policy
As Blur Stuff grows, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the application or how data is handled. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
8. Contact
If you have questions about privacy or how Blur Stuff handles your files, you can contact the project through the GitHub repository .
